Before DROVA Studio had a name, it had a home.
Times of India journalist Pooja Madhok covered founder Roopali Dhawan's personal residence at IREO Grand Arch, Sector 58, Gurugram and dedicated a half-page feature to what she found there.
Every piece in the home had been personally designed, sourced, upcycled, or handcrafted by Roopali — the tree bark chandelier, the Bollywood trunk, the wood log chandelier from New Zealand pine, the dining table wall made from six vertical teak panels, the cycle rim light, the bamboo ladder with tealight holders.
The article captured what DROVA Studio stands for before it even had a name: converting trash into treasure, zero copying, and spaces that speak volumes about the person who lives in them.
